2015 NewSong grand prize winner Rachael Kilgour’s third album Rabbit in the Road is set for release tomorrow on NewSong Recordings, and to celebrate the Minnesota artist has premiered the full stream of the heartbreaking album on PopMatters, who said, “Kilgour is once again writing and performing songs focusing on her life, but now in the profundity of losing love and learning to love oneself again. Following the greatest betrayal she has known, Kilgour bears her bruises in captivating fashion.”

Rabbit in the Road  was co-produced and mixed by NewSong director and producer Gar Ragland at Echo Mountain Recording Studios in Asheville, NC.  The album takes an intimate and often painful look at the failed marriage and loss of family. Kilgour’s writing and delivery cut deep, with resolute simplicity. Sorrow, rage, resilience and compassion all exist, side by side.
