Mountain Stage NewSong Contest Finals @ Lincoln Center this Saturday, October, 20. FREE show!

You’re invited to the 11th Annual Mountain Stage NewSong Contest live performance finals.
The 2012 contest winner will be presented with the opportunity to record an album at the beautiful Echo Mountain Recordings in Asheville, North Carolina with hit producer Iestyn Polson, who has worked with the likes of David Gray, Patti Smith, and David Bowie.
The EP will be released on the Brooklyn-based NewSong Recordings label. In addition, the winner will perform on an internationally broadcast Mountain Stage (NPR) show, perform at Lincoln Center, appear at the 2013 Sundance/ASCAP Music Cafe, and a fully-funded album release pr/publicity campaign from the Press House sponsored by PledgeMusic.
NewSong is an independent music organization that works to build a supportive community of performers and songwriters across all genres of music and levels of skill. NewSong identifies the truly exceptional artists within this community and works closely with them to develop their careers and introduce their music to a broader, international audience. Below are the twelve finalists who will perform on October 20th. The matinee ‘semi-final’ round (noon-2 pm) will close with a set by 2009 NewSong Contest winner Reed Waddle, and Leah Siegel of Firehorse will appear courtesy of PledgeMusic, closing the evening ‘Award Round’ as the judges determine this year’s grand prize winner.
